About Me
Welcome! I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and I have over 12 years of experience working with individuals and helping them identify their strengths and improve their quality of life. I received my Bachelor’s degree in international Affairs from Suffolk University in Boston, MA in 2011. I received my Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Southern California in 2013.
I was born and raised in Southern California, but lived many years outside of the US, working with non profit organizations to better communities. I am a transplant to the Seattle- Tacoma area, but this is my forever home . Most of my experience has been in the realm of providing behavioral health services in healthcare settings, including Geriatric Care Management, renal social work, and inpatient within the hospital. I love animals, gardening, and music.
My practice is dedicated to the therapeutic relationship. I strive to create an environment of safety, support, and without judgment. My approach is to meet you where you are. I focus on strength based, empowerment, that is focused on you. If something is important to you, it is important to the work we will do.
My areas of focus include, but are not limited to, anxiety, depression, women’s issues, life transitions/adjustments and body image issues. I am a Health at Every Size Clinician. I utilize multiple therapy models such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Therapy. Both traditional and nontraditional families such as polyamorous or found families are welcome in my practice. I am a LGTBQIA+ ally, and a Sex positive therapist.
